This current issue can also disrupt your fun, if you do play games as much as I do, then you know that this will have a very annoying impact on your fun segment; with the battery drain issue at hand, you will now resolve to not playing games if at all you must receive phone calls. Also tied up with the negative impact of the battery drain problem is your duration of activeness on social media. Social media has become a good companion to the bored people and also a good means of getting yourself occupied because of the unending fun inherent in it, viewing new selfies from friends, reading hilarious jokes, inspirational life stories, news and videos is just too much fun for you to miss. In this post, you will get optimal help on the causes and suggested solutions to your battery drain problem. There are lots of issues that encourage battery drains and this includes:
  1.  Running of much powerful apps
  2.  Using mobile phones while charging
  3.  Constant active data connection
  4. Too much background apps
  5. Use of powerful live wallpaper
  6.  Increased phone screen brightness etc
If you are among the category of people who commit one of the above mistakes, then your problem is not farfetched, all you need to do is take this piece of advice and you are good to go.

  1. Running of much powerful apps: Do not run too much powerful apps on mobile phones at the same time. If you are done with one of the app, it’s advisable that you close before opening another one to prevent battery drain and to also increase your battery life. ALWAYS CLOSE ALL UNUSED APPS.
  2. Using mobile phones while charging: It’s also advisable and recommendable not to use mobile phones while charging, this weakens your battery and in a matter of time, you will start encountering serious battery issues. Apart from the causing of battery drains, this can also pose a serious threat on your life, that is to say it also causes health hazards. There have been recorded cases of phone explosions, phone burnings, phone overheating and many other issues all connected to this particular issue of operating phones while charging. DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE WHILE CHARGING.
  3. Constant active data connection: Constant running of data connection also plays a minor role which when boxed up with other issues could resolve to phone battery drains. This is because when your data connection is on, automatically, all your social apps starts running, you receive notifications from various apps and also outdated apps gets automatically updated if you set it that way. There is also a possibility that you yourself will run apps like web browsers, social apps like facebook, twitter, whatsapp etc. with these apps running simultaneously on your mobile device it is very likely to experience power drop in your battery and if it keeps going for a long time, it may have a hand in your annoying battery drain problem. Turn off your data when not in use and do not set apps to automatically get updated.
  4. Too much background apps: The use of too much background apps and live wallpapers also decreases battery life. Background apps like jokes, news, inspirational quotes etc and live wallpapers that involve complex features should be avoided. It’s recommendable that you use your picture, abstract pictures and all other images that are appealing to you as wallpaper because this will minimize the reduction in your battery power.
  5. Increased phone screen brightness: Finally, 100% screen brightness or like, sucks a lot of battery. Recommended percentage should be 50 and if you are to increase your brightness beyond this rate, it should be temporary.

HOW TO USE YOUR ANDROID DEVICE ON YOUR PC WITH THE AIRDROID APP

I was a bit surprised when I heard of this amazing app. I couldn’t believe it at first but then I recalled that I’m currently living in a world where science keeps on performing unbelievable wonders and that the use of android phone on PC could be possible in as much as Samsung can come up with a foldable mobile device. Another question that came through my mind was; how will it be possible to operate an android device in some computers that are not touch screens?

All my questions were answered when I downloaded the Airdroid app and began using it. I then knew how awesome this app was; it actually did everything my phone could do, in fact, it was as if I copied my android phone and pasted it on my laptop’s screen. With the Airdroid app, I could chat on facebook, twitter and also reply to messages on whatsapp and other social media, I used my mouse pointer to navigate the options I wanted since my laptop isn’t touch screen. Here are the things my Airdroid app helped me do:

1. FULL FOCUS ON THE TASK AT HAND: with the Airdroid app, you don’t have to leave your work on the PC to answer calls on your android Phone since you can actually answer the call right on your PC, not only will you be able to answer calls alone but you will also receive and reply to text messages, get app notifications, chat on social media, get notifications from your social media app. All the above features are mirrored to your PC’s large screen which makes the view super awesome.

2. SUPER EASILY EQUIPPED: you can use your computer keyboard to type your messages with ease and also able to use your mouse to control your android phone. The use of keyboard in typing gives good amount of comfort; at least, the amount of typo in your message will be reduced due to the large keys on the keyboard compared to that on the android phone. With the mouse too, you will be able to navigate your phone easily since the mouse feels more comfortable to the hand than holding the mobile phone.

3. EASE OF DATA TRANSFER BETWEEN PHONE AND PC: Airdroid app can access your clipboard thereby making it possible for you to paste whatever you copied from your phone to your PC. Also, you can easily transfer files like songs, videos, pictures and other things you want to copy from your phone to your without connecting any USB cable to your PC. This makes the transfer much faster and less stressful. There are other interesting features you will enjoy from Airdroid, it is not limited to the ones listed above.

WHY CAN’T I DOWNLOAD MANY APPLICATIONS FROM THE ANDROID MARKET?

Oops! This sounds like a question to me but it might sound like a problem to you, however way it sounds; just understand that I’m here to help you to the best of my ability. It’s quite disappointing that you saw an app on the android market, liked it but unable to download it. Before you ask the question as to why it is so, try considering your phone specifications, these include your screen size. Some apps are designed for specific screen resolution and thus are not available on all phones. The high ends android phones tend to support more apps, landscape screened phones sometimes have problems with particular apps and games. There are other reasons why some apps may not be available such as the compatibility of the app on your phone and this also depends on the manufacturer. There is nothing to worry about since many apps seem to have substitutes. If one app is not compatible with your phone, then search for another app that performs similar functions.

MY WIFI DOES NOT STAY CONNECTED

Are you having issues with WIFI staying connected? Then you are at the right place. The solution to this disturbing problem is simple so stay connected. If your answer to the question asked above is “Yes”, then do the following:
  1. Restart your android phone or enable airplane mode on your android phone for at least 1 minute.
  2. Turn off the airplane mode and try connecting again with your android phone for wifi. If this didn’t work, then all hope is not lost because there is always a second option. Do this too
  3. Go to “WIRELESS & NETWORKS/ WI-FI” settings and press the menu key.
  4. Choose “ADVANCED” and change the “SLEEP POLICY” to “NEVER”.
I hope this works for you because it worked for me too.

MY PHONE SAYS I’M RUNNING OUT OF MEMORY

There are numerous reasons for this particular problem but among other reasons, there is a prominent problem which is due to a full cache memory.

WHAT IS CACHE MEMORY: cache memory is just a specific portion on your physical memory or RAM which stores frequently accessed data. It saves you the stress of going through your menu and clicking numerous options before accessing a particular information. Most of your contacts are stored on cache memory since it is frequently accessed by you.
All what I’m trying to say is that a full cache memory affects the efficient running of apps and your phone as a whole. This is an easy to deal with problem, so don’t worry about it. Consider doing the following:
  1.  Download apps like Cache cleaner or clean master from Google play store.
  2.  Install and run the apps to clean the cache for specific apps. This will free up some space which will be displayed on the screen by your app after the cleaning.
  3. Uninstall unused apps and clear off junk data from your device.
  4. Use an external SD card to store files with large memory to free up the physical memory.
  5. Always clean your phone memory frequently.
I hope his helped……………………..Don't forget to hit share

THIS IS THE REASON WHY THE KEYS ON A COMPUTER AND SMARTPHONES KEYBOARDS ARE NOT ARRANGED IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER

There is so much fun in curiousity, asking yourself puzzling questions about the wonderful things surrounding you. The word computer is not new; it has existed many years ago. The modern days computer were not what we see them to be today, just like man, computer has undergone several generations of changes, evolving from huge, bulky, noisy, heavy, high power consuming and heat generating machines to the present day portable and better adapted machines.

One major component associated with the computer which aids it to receive instructions from users is the computer KEYBOARD. The computer keyboard is a very vital component of a computer which has no proper substitute as at now. Not only on computers alone, the keyboard also plays a vital role on your smart phones, without it, how would you input and save a friends number? Send text message or chat on social media?

So you can see how important that tray-like structure with mounds of keys is. Now, one puzzling stuff about the keyboard which gets me wondering each time I turn on my laptop to compose my blog post is the arrangement of the keys on the keyboard. I kept on asking myself; why wasn’t these keys arranged alphabetically from A, B, C, D…Z instead of the Q, W, E, R, T, Y, U… arrangement that we have been seeing? Is there any special reason or a kind of myth surrounding it?

All these questions bubbling through my mind prompted me to go on a little research about the computer keyboard and like seriously, doing this research just reminded me of the tough times I had when tons of assignment were dosed out to us while in school. Successfully, I was able to find out some good reasons about the non alphabetical arrangement of the keys on the computer keyboard which I am going to share with you in brief.

THE REASON WHY KEYS ON A COMPUTER/MOBILE PHONES KEYBOARDS ARE NOT ALPHABETICALLY ARRANGED

Before we get into the business of the day, let me also ask you; have you been wondering why these keys are not alphabetically arranged? If “Yes”, then we were once on the same track but not anymore because I actually found out the reason for myself, so here is the mystery behind this issue.

In my research, one recurring answer which seems to be the most occurring explanation behind the non alphabetical arrangement of keys on a computer keyboard is that it was actually designed to slow down typist because the first design accustomed to the keyboard usually resulted to jammed (not able to move anymore) keys and computer components as a result of high typing speed.

If you have seen a typist typing before, then you will be amazed with speed at which he or she does it. What that meant was that, the first layout usually resulted in the keyboard keys not being able to move anymore (sticky) which impeded typing. Let’s take our minds back to the 80’s. The very first keyboard was invented by Christopher Latham Sholes in 1868 and this keyboard had its keys arranged serially from A to Z.

This made typing very fast and easy but on the other hand, it boosted the jamming of keys. Due to the key jamming problems, this layout was later replaced with something similar to it which I would say “had a semi alphabetical order” arrangement. This layout was also changed due to keys jamming resulting from the side by side placement of keys which increased typing speed.

Back then, when once a typewriter key gets jammed or a typographical error is committed, the typist had only one option which included unjamming the keys, ripping out the destroyed paper, getting your hands stained all over with inks and washing them off, inserting a new paper and starting all over again from the scratch!

You can really sense the kind of frustration those guys went through; I’m glad I was born within the modern keyboard period (lol!).

As time flew, Sholes and Partners latter sold their keyboard and typewriter design to Remington & Sons who then manufactured the first commercial typewriter. It was actually this company “Remington & Sons” who then rearranged the letters on the keyboard and adopted the QWERTY layout as the standard layout which is what we are still struggling with today.

The QWERTY layout is arranged in a manner that makes high speed typing difficult therefore reducing the jamming rate. One more observation, Remington & Sons actually made the typing of the word TYPEWRITER very easy by arranging all the letters on the first row, though still mixed up like a clueless word puzzle game. You can confirm this by taking a simple look at the letters on the first row of your keyboard.

Over to you, how do you see the new layout? Do you think Remington & Sons made a big mistake by changing the layout? Has it caused more wrong than good? Is it frustrating to you? If you were given the choice of selecting your own personal layout, which one would you have choosen?

Kindly share your thoughts with us; let’s keep the gist hot and interesting by dropping your replies on the comment section. Please don’t forget to share this and amuse your friends, I bet you they may not know the reason why the keys are not alphabetically arranged. Cheers!

HOW TO RESET YOUR ANDROID PHONE TO FACTORY SETTINGS IF YOU FORGOT YOUR SECURITY CODE

This is a very trending issue affecting most android phone users. We are all humans and sometimes things do slip our minds, that is to say we do forget things. Sometimes we mistakenly choose a wrong security key and most of us do have our security key changed by our friends whom you refused to share your snacks with. Lol! It’s nothing to worry about because I believe that to every problem there is always a hidden solution and it just takes time, observation and critical thinking to discover it. Let me not bore you with stories, so I’ll just head to the point.
NOTE: this may not work for all smart phones especially those with higher android versions. I hope it works for you, so good luck. Secondly, if this is successful, all data stored on the phone memory will be wiped off. It’s advisable to always backup all your data. Click here to learn how to backup you phone.
Please follow the steps below carefully. It’s easy and simple.
1. Switch off your phone
2. Hold your power button and your volume button simultaneously. (i.e. press the two keys at the side of your mobile phone at the same time, it must be the volume button and the power button)
3. A screen displays with a plain colour (it can be any colour depending on the programmer of your    phone) with options on it
4. Among the options include “restore to factory setting” or “reset phone”
5. Use your volume button to scroll through the options till you get to the reset button.
6. When you are on the reset button, press the “power button” to select.
If you followed my instructions properly, then you should get a welcome screen showing the brand of your phone like Tecno, Samsung, Gionee, Lenovo, Nokia etc. after this is done, your phone appears as a newly purchased device and then you can choose a new security means.
If the above method didn’t work for you, then you have just one option but to flash your phone. This can be damaging a times but you don’t have a choice. Here is a useful tip you shouldn’t forget before thinking of flashing your phone:
Flashing your phone will permanently erase all your files, apps will be deleted, pictures, images and videos will be lost but you can avoid this by backing up all your useful files. You can move all files stored on the phone memory to your SD card for reuse.
If you rooted your phone, you have to unroot it before flashing the phone else your phone will crash for life.
Move phone contacts to SIM card to avoid losing them. After considering the above, you can then go ahead and get your phone flashed by a trusted professional.
ENJOY!
