6 SIMPLE STEPS TO ADDING A TERMS OF SERVICE OR DISCLAIMER TO YOUR BLOGGER BLOG’S FOOTER

Just as it is necessary to add a privacy policy to your blog, it is also essential that you back up your privacy policy with your blogs terms of use or disclaimer. I will make this tutorial very brief, writing a disclaimer or terms of service is a very tedious work and for this reason, I will grant you the right to copy mine which I have modified for your blog’s use. 2. Login to your blogger dashboard
3. Click on the design tab or pages tab and create a new page.
4. Title your new page “Disclaimer”, paste your disclaimer in the field provided for content and click on publish.
5. Go to layout, under design, you should see header, click the edit button beside it and tick the checkbox beside your disclaimer to make it visible on the header. Now, view your blog and copy your disclaimer’s URL. Go to www.goo.gl and shorten your long URL. Remember to go back and uncheck your disclaimer page in other to hide it from the header.
6. Go to your footer section and under attribution click the edit button beside it. On the box that appears, paste your shortened URL in this form <a href=”myshortenedurl”>Disclaimer|</a>. Watch out in other not to omit the quotation marks.

Click on save and view your blog.  You have successfully added your disclaimer!
